Questions, sensible ones too.

What exactly arrives in the post?

A natural kraft tube with your message printed on the outside. Inside sits a long-drink glass loaded with live mushroom mycelium on clean grain, plus a short care card. The tube is the gift wrap, the card, and the humidity tent in one.

Is the mushroom alive in the mail?

Yes, and comfortably so. Mycelium ships dormant and cool, the way it spends most of its life anyway. We post Monday to Wednesday so no parcel spends a weekend in a depot.

Can I write anything on the tube?

Up to 90 characters, printed exactly as typed, spelling mistakes included if you insist. We only refuse hateful messages. Weird ones are our favorite part of the job.

Do they need any skill to grow it?

None. Open the tube, stand the glass in indirect light, mist twice a day. Oysters go from quiet glass to dramatic harvest in about two weeks.

Which mushrooms can they eat?

Oysters, Lion's Mane, Shiitake, Enoki, Chestnut and Chicken of the Woods are delicious cooked. Reishi and Turkey Tail are for tea and for admiring: think tiny sculpture, not stir-fry.

Is the glass really a normal glass?

A standard long-drink glass. After the last harvest, wash it and it rejoins the cupboard. The tube is paper, the lid is paper, the grain is grain.

Where do you ship?

Across the Netherlands and neighboring EU countries, two to four days in transit. Free shipping on parcels over 60 euro.

What if it doesn't grow?

It happens rarely, and it is never the recipient's fault officially. Tell us and we send a fresh glass, no forms, no interrogation. One mushroom promise per tube.

Do you include prices in the parcel?

Never. The recipient sees your message, the glass, and the care card. What it cost stays between you and your bank.
